The North Texas Soccer ODP Boys 01-02 had one thing on their mind when they booked their trip to Costa Rica: soccer.
Costa Rica Soccer Tours sat down with the coaches and came up with a custom itinerary chock full of team trainings, matches against some of the region’s top professional teams, and a handful of excursions to make the trip truly memorable.
The same day that the team arrived in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, they settled in at their hotels and attended a brief orientation before jumping right into a team training session. Throughout the first four days, they practiced in a total of five team trainings and played two friendly matches!
Of course, we made sure there were plenty of fun activities to give the boys the mental and physical breaks they needed. The team had an incredible experience volunteering at a local children’s community center. A day trip to the Punta Leona Beach included a zip-line tour over the rainforest canopy. They even got to hike out to an active volcano and explore San Jose’s museums, landmarks, and monuments.
With a total of four friendly matches, five team training sessions, and an entire week’s worth of incredible experiences, we think it’s safe to say that the North Texas Soccer ODP Boys 01-02 Costa Rica trip was a huge success!
