College athletes have worked hard for their entire lives to make it to where they are today. Don’t they deserve a reward that will provide them with excitement, adventure, and a chance to further their knowledge of their favorite sport?
Give your team the experience of a lifetime by booking a soccer trip to Costa Rica with Costa Rica Soccer Tours!
As the former Philadelphia University transitioned into the new and improved Thomas Jefferson University, the school wanted to reward their women’s soccer team for all of their hard work and dedication, while giving them the opportunity to become an even better group of athletes than they already were.
The coaches contacted Costa Rica Soccer Tours, who planned a completely customized itinerary for the team. They would spend nine days visiting some of Costa Rica’s most incredible locations, starting with the capital city of San Jose.
After two team training sessions, the girls set out for a walking tour of the city. They visited several museums, beautiful parks, and even a flea market where vendors sold incredible handmade souvenirs.
The following day, after volunteering at a care center for low-income children, the team played in their first friendly match against local team Moravia. It was a very competitive game, and both teams left the field exhausted after playing so hard.
Day four found the women traveling to the heart of the San Carlos Rainforest, where a guide was waiting to take everyone white water rafting. Talk about an adrenaline rush!
After a friendly soccer match the next morning, the group embarked upon a hiking trip through the stunning Costa Rica rainforest to the La Fortuna Waterfall, followed by a dip in natural volcanic hot springs. The girls enjoyed the opportunity to relax, unwind, and take in the gorgeous scenery.
The adventure wasn’t over yet! Over the course of the next three days, the TJU athletes took a zip line tour over the canopy, a sunset catamaran ride along Pacific Beach, a final friendly match against team Liberia, and team training sessions on the sandy beaches of Costa Rica.
Needless to say, this was one experience that the team won’t soon forget. After the years of hard work they’ve put in becoming the incredible athletes they are, they deserved it!
